The criteria — and the honesty note.
Every tool here was scored on four things: what it's genuinely best at (not what its homepage says), its published starting price, the depth of its Shopify integration, and who should actually pick it. Three rules governed the write-up:
- Prices come from the vendor's own pricing page, checked on September 3, 2026 and cited at the bottom. Where a price is gated or usage-based, we say so instead of guessing.
- Positives first. Each mini-review leads with what the tool does well, because every product on this list earned its user base.
- We recommend against ourselves where it's warranted. Admoji is built for a specific kind of merchant. If you're not that merchant, one of the other four is your answer, and we name which.
One thing to know before the list: Shopify itself stores customers and orders but isn't a full CRM — no pipelines, no ticketing, no marketing automation. We cover exactly where the line sits in our guide, Is Shopify a CRM?
02 / The quick answerFive CRMs, one table.
| Tool | Best for | Starting price | Trial / free tier |
|---|---|---|---|
| Admoji | DTC & subscription brands that want CRM, checkout, and AI ads in one platform | $79/mo + 0.35% of volume | 14 days, no credit card |
| HubSpot | Teams that need a full company-wide CRM beyond the store | Free tier; Starter from $20/mo per seat | Free tier |
| Klaviyo | Email & SMS marketing built on rich customer profiles | Free to 250 profiles; paid from $20/mo | Free tier |
| Gorgias | Support-heavy stores that live in customer conversations | From $10/mo (50 tickets) | Free to sign up |
| Omnisend | Smaller stores that want email-CRM basics on a budget | Free to 250 contacts; Standard $16/mo | Free tier |
All prices from each vendor's own published pricing, observed September 3, 2026 — sources at the bottom of the page. Usage-based tools (Klaviyo, Gorgias) scale with profiles or tickets, so model your real volume before comparing.
03 / AdmojiAdmoji — the all-in-one for DTC and subscriptions.
This is us, so hold this section to the same standard as the rest. Admoji is a CRM with a checkout and an ad engine attached: customer records and segmentation, a Shopify-style checkout on your own domain with one-click upsells, subscription billing with decline recovery, multi-gateway payment redundancy with automatic failover, and AI-generated image and UGC video ads locked to your brand. Your Shopify catalog syncs in directly, so it works alongside an existing store — or replaces the stack for merchants who want out of platform-payments constraints.
Pricing is flat and published: $79/mo + 0.35% of volume on the Launch plan, with a 14-day free trial and no credit card required.1 The honest caveat: Admoji is not a general-purpose sales CRM and doesn't pretend to be. There's no B2B deal pipeline, and if your only need is email campaigns, a dedicated email tool is cheaper to start. Admoji earns its keep when checkout, recurring billing, and ad creation would otherwise be three separate subscriptions.
Pick Admoji if: you sell DTC or subscriptions and want the funnel — ads, checkout, CRM, recurring billing — in one dashboard at one flat price.
04 / HubSpotHubSpot — the full-company CRM.
HubSpot is the reference point for what "CRM" classically means: contact records, deal pipelines, marketing automation, service tools, and reporting that the whole company works from. For a Shopify merchant, its official, HubSpot-built Shopify data-sync app pulls customers, orders, products, and abandoned checkouts into HubSpot with pre-built field mappings and ecommerce reports — with two-way contact sync in beta.2
The pricing is genuinely accessible at the bottom: a free tier (up to 2 users and 1,000 contacts), then the Starter Customer Platform at $20/mo per seat — with a $7/mo/seat annual-billing promotion for new customers showing when we checked.3 The tradeoff is that HubSpot is a horizontal platform, not an ecommerce specialist: revenue-critical merchant features — checkout, subscription billing, SMS flows — live elsewhere, and costs climb steeply as you add Professional-tier hubs and more seats.
Pick HubSpot if: your store is one part of a bigger business — wholesale, B2B, or a sales team — and you need one CRM that everyone from marketing to support works out of.
05 / KlaviyoKlaviyo — the marketing CRM on customer data.
Klaviyo isn't a pipeline CRM — it's a customer-data platform with email and SMS on top, and for Shopify marketing it's the category leader. Its official Shopify app holds a 4.7-star rating across 3,200+ reviews, syncs store data in real time, and drives the flows Shopify merchants actually make money on: welcome series, abandoned checkout, post-purchase, and win-back, all segmented on real order behavior.4
Pricing is by active profiles: free up to 250 profiles and 500 emails/month, with paid email plans from $20/mo that scale as your list grows.4,5 That scaling is the thing to model — the profile-based meter means a large, low-engagement list costs real money whether or not you mail it. And you're getting marketing depth, not operations: no checkout, no subscription billing, no support desk.
Pick Klaviyo if: your CRM question is really an email-and-SMS question, and you want the deepest segmentation and flow tooling on Shopify.
06 / GorgiasGorgias — the support CRM.
If your team's day is customer conversations — where's my order, change my address, refund this — Gorgias is the CRM shaped like your actual job. It's a helpdesk built specifically for ecommerce that connects directly to your Shopify store, pulling customer and order data into every ticket so agents can see and act on orders without leaving the conversation. Pricing is by ticket volume, not per agent, with an AI agent available on every plan.6,7
Published plans start at $10/mo for 50 billable tickets (Starter), then $60/mo for 300 tickets (Basic) and $360/mo for 2,000 tickets (Pro).7 The tradeoff is scope: Gorgias manages conversations, not campaigns or billing — it's the tool you add next to your marketing stack, not instead of it. And because billing is per ticket, a viral month is also an expensive one; check the overage rates for your volume.
Pick Gorgias if: support volume is your bottleneck. For support-focused teams it's the plainly better fit than any all-in-one on this list, ours included.
07 / OmnisendOmnisend — the budget email-CRM.
Omnisend is the value pick: email, SMS, and web push with prebuilt ecommerce automations, and a Shopify app rated 4.7 stars across 3,100+ reviews.8 For a small store it covers a surprising amount of the Klaviyo playbook — segmentation, abandoned-cart flows, popups and forms — with less configuration and a friendlier meter.
The pricing is the headline: free up to 250 contacts and 500 emails/month, then Standard at $16/mo for up to 500 contacts and 6,000 emails (a 30%-off first-three-months promotion was showing when we checked).9 The honest limits: reporting and segmentation depth trail Klaviyo as lists get large and complex, and like Klaviyo it's a marketing tool — no checkout, billing, or support desk.
Pick Omnisend if: you're an early-stage store that wants real email automation at the lowest workable price, with room to grow before re-platforming.
08 / How to chooseMatch the tool to your model.
The fastest way through the shortlist is to name your actual constraint:
- Solo founder or small team, first hire not made yet — start free: Shopify's own customer list plus Omnisend or Klaviyo's free tier. Upgrade when the meter says so.
- Marketing-led store, one-time purchases — Klaviyo (depth) or Omnisend (value). Your "CRM" is your email engine.
- Support-heavy catalog — high order volume, lots of where-is-my-order — Gorgias, full stop.
- Sales team, B2B, or wholesale alongside retail — HubSpot, because the CRM has to serve people who never touch the storefront.
- DTC or subscription brand living on paid ads — Admoji, because ads, checkout, recurring billing, and CRM in one platform beats stitching four subscriptions together.
Pick a specialist if…
- Your need is one job done deeply — email (Klaviyo/Omnisend), support (Gorgias), or company-wide sales (HubSpot)
- Your checkout and billing already work and you don't want to touch them
- You want to start free and pay only when the meter climbs
Pick Admoji if…
- You want CRM, checkout, subscriptions, and the ads that fill the funnel in one platform
- You'd rather pay one flat $79 + 0.35% than stack four separate tools
- You want to try before you buy — 14-day free trial, no sales call
